Lyriqs da Lyraciss is 20 year old emcee from New Orleans who we had the pleasure to interview a couple weeks back. He’s dropping his new album “The Nobody’s Monologues 2″. He sent us the album early so check out out thoughts on his album.
The Nobody’s Monologues 2 opens up with Into Lyriqs he states “Not a poet or anything but” . The First Song is a good song that you will most definitely be a head nodder, the beat is good and it doent over power the lyrics. The entire album showcases his lyrical skill. He shares his pain and struggles in which turned to his ambition. Lyriqs Da Lyraciss turns real-life situations into witty lyrics. Dreamctaher is a good song lyrically but at times the beat overpowered the lyrics but still it wasn’t a bad a song . Overall The Nobody’s Monologues 2 is a well put together album, Lyriqs isn’t just rapping he is telling his story. The production was good but we were more impressed with the lyrically ability he showcased through out TNB2. If you have dreams and people tried to shoot them down this album is for you.
STANDOUT TRACKS : Intro, First Song, My Style, UnderdogCentral. Meditation, Do It For, Dreamcatcher
In the past couple months we’ve put a lot of mixtapes on AF but we have only had four “Featured” articles about artists you need to watch for and now we’re picking up right where we left off. Back in April we came across a talented young rapper representing Columbus, Ohio named MookDaStar. His mixtape ”Nutty Season” gave us a reason to stay connected because we knew he would continue delivering straight fire and he did just that with his latest mixtape ”Hood Swagga 3: Hard Road”. Like so many artists you have haters but Mook Da Star got pass that and continued with his music. With HS3 Mook Da Star is letting his fans and especially the haters know that he isn’t going anywhere no time soon.

TrendSetterTina has got to be one of the dopest, freshest female emcee’s I’ve heard in a long time. Being unique and different isn’t always good but TrendSetterTina has it and she owns it. Sometimes difference is what you need to be successful. Her first mixtape “Pleasant Introduction” has a lot of different sounds which makes it hard to put her music into any genre. You never know what you will get when you listen to her mixtape and that makes it worth the listen. Her music is fun and artful, she has great lyrical ability and a flow that I’ve never heard before, so be looking out because TrendSetterTina’s stars are rising fast.

Nate Deezy has a message and if you heard some of his music you’d know exactly what message he’s trying to get across. Nate is a Hip-Hop/Christian rap/Pop artist. His music is coming straight from the heart and even if you don’t like christian rap you will have a better respect for it after hearing him. Nate uses his musical background and faith in Jesus Christ to influence every rhyme that he spits rhymes. You won’t hear him talking about sex and drugs but you will hear him spitting about the holy spirit. At only 10 years old he spit his first rhyme and after that there was no turning back. Not only does he rap but he also produces his on music. With all that on his plate he also has time to attend college, run track and cross-country. Right now Nate is putting time into ”Another Poor College Kid” an album which drops on itunes on March 23rd.Nate Deezy is what the game needs now and that lane is open for a talent like him.

Creek Milloy aka The Fly Guy was raised on south side of Chicago but recently he moved to east Atlanta to better pursue his music career. Rapping underground since the age of 13 Creek is more a veteran in the game than a rookie. Recording many of his current tracks underground now he’s ready to take the industry by storm. Looking up to artists like Jay- Z , Lil Wayne and T.I he always knew that this was the life for him. Creek Milloy is a true m.c he can spit about the streets or the club and still be speaking about whats real. With his new mixtape ”ILLy By Nature” which is primarily produced by up and coming or established producers he shows and proves on each track. For Creek Milloy its M.O.B nothing more nothing less always his best. Right now he working on a mixtape that he’s keeping tight lips on but around March stay tuned because The Fly Guy is just getting started.
